Cristiano Cabral - Black Belt
Professor Cristiano Cabral began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2017 in Porto Velho, Brazil, when he visited a social project and, by the next class, had already become a student. Since then, Jiu-Jitsu has become an essential part of his life, shaping his vision and purpose both on and off the mat.
A missionary for over 10 years, he and his family dedicated themselves to serving in the Amazon region, where training was a constant challenge. Living 15 km (9 miles) from the academy, he faced difficult dirt roads just to make it to class. But instead of giving up, he learned one of the most valuable lessons Jiu-Jitsu has to offer: the power of perseverance and consistency—values he now shares with his students.
Although he has competed only a few times, he chose to focus on teaching, believing his true mission is to shape students into black belts not just in Jiu-Jitsu but in life. His teaching style is dynamic and engaging, using games and creative methods to make learning more accessible and fun.
For him, Jiu-Jitsu is more than just techniques—it’s a path to personal growth, where discipline, character, and commitment make all the difference. Inspired by Jesus and guided by the teachings of masters like Roberto dos Reis and Carlos Eugênio, he believes every student can go further than they ever imagined.
His advice? Stay dedicated, don’t shy away from challenges, repeat your techniques consistently, and always support your teammates. Success in Jiu-Jitsu and in life comes to those who persevere!
